What is a Gu10 Led bulb?

Which GU10 LED bulb should I choose?
Depending on the role your LED spotlight has to fulfil, you can choose the most suitable lamp. To help you on your way, below we have compiled a short overview of the most important elements you need to take into account.
Luminous intensity (expressed in lumens): The luminosity of a lamp determines how brightly it will shine. Depending on where your lamp will hang, you can choose an LED lamp with a higher or lower brightness.
The colour of the light: Again, the location of your lamp will determine which colour you take best. Do you want to create an atmospheric room using your LED spotlight? Then choose a warmer and more pleasant colour. If you are looking for a cooler and cooler colour, choose a white lamp.
The beam angle of the lamp: This angle determines how wide the beam is that your LED spotlight will emit. You often need a thin beam angle when you want to create specific and focused lighting. In turn, a wider beam angle is more suitable for lighting larger rooms or areas.
The quality of the lamps: As with many other products, the same applies to lamps: cheap is expensive... So it is better to choose a slightly more expensive lamp from a reliable manufacturer. That way you can be sure that your lamp will last a long time and that you can count on a guarantee in case of any problems. Are GU10 LED bulbs dimmable?
Yes, GU10 LED spotlights are dimmable. However, when you buy your LED spotlight, you should look carefully at the product specifications of the lamp. It is possible that the spot you want to buy does not have a dimming function.
Not every GU10 LED spotlight has a dimming function, but most of them do, because it is a real added value! With the help of a dimming function, you can determine at any time how hard your lamp should shine. So you create cosy and atmospheric rooms, as well as cooler and brighter meeting rooms with one and the same lamp. Handy, right?
Do I need a separate GU10 Fitting?
No, fortunately you don't need a separate fitting for a GU10 lamp. When replacing a GU10 lamp, you can simply use the fitting of your previous GU10 lamp.
In some cases, however, you do need a new fitting. For instance, when you decide to replace a lamp of another type with a GU10 lamp. For instance, the fitting of an E27 or a GU5.3/MR16 (plug-in fitting) is not compatible with the fitting of a GU10 lamp. But no worries! At ET48, we also sell a fitting for GU10 bulbs.
